Regional Valorisation Study: Catalonia

This regional valorization study is focused on the ovine sector of Catalonia, and more specifically, in Girona province and Montseny Biosphere Reserve both sites corresponding with the location of the chosen valorization strategies: Fire Flocks project and Montseny wool initiatives respectively. The document analyzes the ovine sector of these areas (current and trends), identifies a set of different strategies at Catalan level that give values to the ovine sector in terms of meat, dairy products, wool and tourism. In the last part, a description and assessment of chosen strategies is available.
