This deliverable surveys on certain approaches adopted by the consortium in order to cope with fire emergency issues related to task T3.3 of Work Package 3 – ‘On-line optimization models’. The deliverable D3.3 reports the proposed models, focusing on on-line optimization approaches to solve problems related to initial attack fire suppression interventions and to fire prevention activities. These approaches make the emergency management processes possible even when the data are revealed over the time without any possibility to evaluate the probability of every possible future. The effectiveness of the on-line optimization models to solve the relative problems is measured by viewing them as competitive processes. Analysis of these models have been performed from both theoretical and practical perspectives and are reported in this deliverable.
