D3.5 Design of Efficient algorithms for prevention and initial attack and probabilistic combinatorial optimization problems (T3.5)

This deliverable surveys on the design of efficient algorithms in
order to cope with fire emergency issues related to task T3.6 of
Work Package 3 – ‘Design efficient algorithms and identify
specific easier cases’. The deliverable D3.5 reports the results
achieved regarding some retained models, focusing on
stochastic, probabilistic, combinatorial and robust optimization
methods. The results are about the fuel management problem,
the evacuation problem, the gathering of autonomous systems,
the projection target problem, the firebreak locating problem,
and the firefighter problem. Facing these problems has opened
theoretical and practical perspectives, reported in this
deliverable.
