International perspective on wildland fires

This November South Wales Fire and Rescue Service have the pleasure of hosting the EWWF Wildfire Conference 2019 – Manage the Fuel- Reduce the Risk  – at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

Booking is now open for this two day event which will bring together agencies and organisations with involvement or interest in successful land management with  leading experts from across the world.

The worldwide threat and impact of wildfires has increased significantly in recent years. Climate change, socio economic influences and diversification of land uses may have contributed to this. It is therefore more prevalent than ever for all agencies; public, private and voluntary to engage in dialogue and share best practice to reduce the wildfire threat, through a considered and holistic land management strategy.

The EWWF Wildfire Conference 2019 will share a broad view of how effective and coordinated land management can have a positive impact on reducing the threat and consequences of wildfires.
