IFA/AFG Fire Forum 2021 (virtual)

Following on from the success of the 2020 Fire Forum, the IFA/AFG’s Forest Fire Management Committee in conjunction with the Member Services Working Group are delighted to be hosting the 2021 Virtual Fire Forum. The Forum will kick off with a Science Session, involving interactive discussion with eminent academics on the drivers of large wildfires and what role forest management plays. The second day will focus on perspectives and experiences with prescribed fire from professionals currently working in the field. And finally, after the 2019/20 Black Summer, a Royal Commission and numerous inquiries, speakers will present their learnings and provide an update on recovery.
