The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with the Project and Communications areas, giving support to the project management and communication actions to be implemented according to the Communication and Dissemination work package of the projects. S/he will have the key role in the mamagement and development of European projects, and in ensuring that the projects inform public knowledge.  

Tasks and responsibilities  

Project management:  

  • Support the project coordinator on the project management actions.  
  • Coordinate the projects' administrative and financial aspects, with close contact with the consortium partners.  
  • Prepare administrative and financial project reports.  


  • Coordination for the communications tasks of a European project consortium.   
  • Translate into plain language the science developed in the project.
  • Content creation and dissemination through different channels. 
  • Support on the organisation of project conferences, webinars and workshops.
  • Participation in external conferences and other events.
  • Preparation of press releases and support material for national and international media.  

Requirements of the candidate  

  • University degree, preferable in life/environmental sciences or forest  
  • Demonstrated experience managing European-funded projects (Marie Curie Actions - Exchange of Experts).  
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in science communication.  
  • Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.  
  • Languages: English and Spanish (level: high oral/writing).
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and interpersonal skills, to work independently and as part of a team. 

Other requirements to consider  

  • Previous experience coordinating European-funded projects (Marie Curie Actions - Exchange of Experts). 
  • Previous work in environmental topics and more specifically wildfires. 
  • Languages: Portuguese, Italian.
  • Experience in communication through social media. 

Employment conditions  

  • Full-time (40 hours/week, flexible working schedule), from Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Partially home based and partially PCF Headquarters (Taradell, Spain).
  • Immediate incorporation. 

The successful candidate will become part of the PCF executive team.
